History

Revision History
Reason for 6.10 Release 9/25/98:
Added functionality for Block Writes which allows you to enable/disable multiple writes to a poll record.
Added functionality for CHAR (STRING) datatype support. STRING is a complex string defined in the PLC.

Reason for 6.10a Release on 2/8/99:
Updated documentation.

Reason for 6.10b Release on 6/14/99:
Corrected problems with the data being displayed by a controller when another controller is disconnected.

Reason for 6.10c Release on 11/4/99:
Corrected problems with importing a CSV file when using a Digital exception type with a BYTE or WORD data type.

Reason for 6.10d Release on 3/22/00:
Revised error messages to provide more information so that troubleshooting the driver is easier.

Reason for 6.10e Release on 5/30/00:
Corrected a problem with the driver; it was sometimes losing communications to device(s) when retries occur.

Reason for 6.11 Release on 6/27/01:
Added support for the CP 1613 and CP 5613 boards. Also added Windows 2000 support for these boards only.

Reason for 6.12 Release on 8/31/01:
Added Switch command to toggle manually between the primary and backup device defined in your driver configuration.

Reason for 6.12c Release on 12/12/01:
Corrected a problem with DB numbers greater then 2047.
The driver now accepts numbers from 0 to 4095. Also fixed a reply timeout problem. Previously the reply timeout was always 1 second. Now, the driver uses the reply timeout configured for it.

Reason for 6.12d Release on 6/10/02:
Corrected a problem with the reply timeout. If the timeout was less than 5 seconds, the driver could not recover from a network break. Now 5 seconds is the minimum reply timeout.

10/15/02:
Effective October 15, 2002, Intellution announces the obsolescence of the S_7 I/O driver. No new orders will be taken after this date. Per Intellution's obsolescence policy, SIMs will be produced for a period of 6 months (until 4/15/03). During that time, the driver will be posted on the Driver SIM area for download. Only existing S_7 customers participating in iGlobalCare are eligible for SIMs.
New customers should contact their Intellution Sales representative to help find a suitable alternative to the S_7.

Reason for 6.12e Release on 01/02/03:
Changed the CP Name pull-down field in the configuration tool to allow user selection and editable user entry.

Reason for 6.12f Release on 03/10/2003:
Modified documentation to comply with GE standards.

Note:  If your firewall blocks ZIPS and EXEs, simply right-click and select SAVE TARGET AS and change the extension to something like "XIP".  Once downloaded change the extension back to its original one.

All drivers produced by vendors other than GE ("3rd Party Drivers") are provided by GE "as is" and without warranty of any kind unless the vendor extends a pass-through warranty to the end user.  Support for 3rd Party Drivers is provided by the driver's vendor.
