Miscellaneous
Info

Relevant Notes
Hardware:

Maximum CHANNELS Supported: 8

PERFORMANCE:

Customers should be encouraged to use as many channels as

possible when they have a large number of Met One devices

to talk to. It is also strongly recommended to have a huge

delay and fewer number of retries when they have many

devices offline on the same channel.

CABLING:

Consult your Met One Users Manual for information.

UNSOLICITED MESSAGES:

Not Supported on Windows NT or Windows 95

NOTE:

The Analog Multiplexer returns a maximum value of 4095 and

hence LIN signal conditioning scales accordingly.

History

Revision History
Reason for 6.01 release on 11/14/1996:
* Built to incorporate changes made in the Windows driver.

Reason for 6.01a release on 08/02/1999:
* Corrected the problem of a device failing on one channel affecting the polling of devices on other channels.

Reason for 6.01b release on 01/27/2006:
* When the device CTL (control bit) was cleared, the command to set the device to StandBy mode was being sent repeatedly, without a delay between messages. The customer's device required a delay of at least 1.5 seconds between command messages. The Channel Delay parameter is now used to configure this delay.
* Branding changed in driver and documentation to reflect GE Fanuc.

Note:  If your firewall blocks ZIPS and EXEs, simply right-click and select SAVE TARGET AS and change the extension to something like "XIP".  Once downloaded change the extension back to its original one.

All drivers produced by vendors other than GE ("3rd Party Drivers") are provided by GE "as is" and without warranty of any kind unless the vendor extends a pass-through warranty to the end user.  Support for 3rd Party Drivers is provided by the driver's vendor.
