Coaxial 10 Base2 (Thinnet) Cable Connector OR

The driver performance was tested with the following testbed:



PC: Pentium with 133 Mhz, with 3COM Etherlink

Notes:



1) The average number of messages per second was calculated

after at least 1000 messages had been sent.

2) For structures, even though driver allows user to configure

a length greater than 1, the protocol does not allow all

the structures to be read in with one command. The driver

has to send one command each to read I/O and configuration

parameters.



As an example, if a PID1 type poll record is configured

with maximum length (32) and configuration parameters are to

be read every poll time, the driver has to send 64 message

(32 * 2) to update the entire poll record.

3) We ran a test with one device and one structure type poll

record per channel (4 channels). All poll records had a

poll time of 0 and period was 1. The average number of

messages per second was 76 (19 messages per channel per

second).

1. With Ver 6.10, the maximum length for I-Type has been

reduced to 224 (from 244 in Ver. 6.00). This is because

if a length of 244 is used, it is found that the last 20

values are not correct.
