History

Revision History
Reason for 7.21 Release on 01/16/01:
* New Release of driver.

Reason for 7.21a Release on 01/26/01:
* Corrected a problem with shutting down the ABC server when connected to it using the OPC Client.

Reason for 7.21b Release on 7/12/01:
* Added support for Rainbow SuperPro hardware keys to the driver.

Reason for 7.21c Release on 10/04/01:
* Changed the ABCOPC.DLL to address a problem when the OPC Client is connected. Previously, deleting a group in the OPC Client caused an exception to the ABCOPC.DLL. Adding subsequent groups also failed.

Reason for 7.21e Release on 12/26/01:
* Corrected a problem with writing strings to ST files. Apparently, when reading back a newly-written string, part of the previous string would also be read or random characters would be read with the new string.
* Also changed the message displayed when the access time expired to indicate that the datablock is off scan because the access time expired.

Reason for 7.22 Release on 10/31/2002:
* Added support for new Aladdin hardware key.
* Implemented new security feature that allows users to configure the logon account for the driver when running as a service.

Reason for 7.22a Release on 03/26/2003:
* Modified documentation to comply with GE standards.

Reason for 7.22b Release on 11/29/2005:
* Driver has been rebranded to reflect GE Fanuc.

Note:  If your firewall blocks ZIPS and EXEs, simply right-click and select SAVE TARGET AS and change the extension to something like "XIP".  Once downloaded change the extension back to its original one.

All drivers produced by vendors other than GE ("3rd Party Drivers") are provided by GE "as is" and without warranty of any kind unless the vendor extends a pass-through warranty to the end user.  Support for 3rd Party Drivers is provided by the driver's vendor.
