ERROR: 'Unable To Update The System Registry' When Adding a Default Server To Historian Toolbar in iFIX
Description

An errorlog (on SCADA node)  “unable to write to registry”

Resolution
  1.  The first and easiest way to fix this is to go to Regedit and browse to the following key:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Intellution, Inc.
  2.  Once on this key right click the key and choose export.  Give it a name and export the .reg file to your desktop.
  3.  After that right click the key and choose delete. Now that the file has been deleted go to File Import and import the .reg key that was exported. This will rebuild the key from scratch and should take care of the problem.

NOTE: If this is still an issue after these steps the alternate solution is to manually rebuild the key in the registry from scratch.
