When copying GRF files that have been developed in one resolution to another installation which uses a display with a different screen resolution, the GRF files may appear to be distorted when opening them in the iFIX Workspace.

Resolution

Here are the steps necessary to resolve the appearance of the GRF file and its associated objects:

1) In Workspace - User Preferences - Picture Preferences make certain that Resizable is checked under Window Properties

  ** NOTE: For iFIX 5.0 and above: if you have the new Windows Ribbon User Interface enabled, please take the following steps to access the Workspace - User Preferences- Picture Preferences:

       (1) From the Home Menu in the iFIX Workspace - Configuration mode, click on the Settings icon

       (2) Select User Preferences

       (3) Select the Picture Preferences folder

       (4) Enable/check the Resizable property field

2) Make certain that System Tree and Status Bar are unchecked under Workspace

3) Open picture (which requires resizing) in iFIX workspace (Configure Mode)

4) Right click your mouse in an area on the picture where the Picture Properties can be displayed

5) Click Property Window and change the Resizable property from False to True (if applicable)

6) From Workspace, click Full Screen to display the picture in Full View (Configure Mode)

7) Hold the Shift Button down and drag the bottom of the picture down with your mouse (so that it stretches the picture to the bottom of the screen)

8) Right click mouse a 2nd time and click "Fit Picture to Window"

9) Right click mouse again on the picture and select Property Window and change the Resizable from True back to False (if applicable)
